Black Sand

Now..I know its been hella long since I've updated this thing but..hello. I been out the loop with some unfortunate news guys. My laptop (his name is henry), has officially called it quits. That's right folks, henry needs a heart transplant. My hard drive crashed recently so its been pretty difficult trying to update this site. Not to worry though, henry's going to have his operation pretty soon and we should be up and running again! Anyway, I know I've been talking about this Black Sand thing for god knows how long but we really are wrapping things up - and this time I have proof!! Me and my brother tweez just got one of the photo shoots finished (thanks to the good folks of Iphotoria Studios) and things are finally coming along! For those who don't know, Black Sand consist of G-Two and yours truly going IN on some very eclectic pieces of instrumentation. SO..just hold on to your hats for a tad bit longer, because we're hoping to drop this record with in the next month. BIG shout outs to one of my favorite J's - Jennifer Roh for leaving you with a preview of some Black Sand.

.Exhale.

So I've heard most of the different opinions about Drakes new album "Thank Me Later", and I feel like it was pretty dope overall. It was like "So Far Gone" on steroids with better production and musical quality. Anyways, my favorite record on that album would have to be Light Up. Hearing that song really inspired me to do my own little version of that record. I was with good friends Sergio Carrasco and Chris Ainsworth when I recorded it at their studio, so big shout out to them! This song actually has me venting a lot about my past and current situations; which is something I don't do too often. So give it a listen and let me know what ya'll think! Big shout outs to the lil brotha C.Scholar for creating some nice visuals for the YouTuba!

And with out further ado...Lets Exhale...

If I Were Mike...

Salutations everyone!

I know its been a little while since I've updated the site, but things have been pretty busy the past couple weeks. After I got back from Richmond I actually had to make a stop over to California and kick it with some MoTown heavy hitters. Long story short, I went to the MTV Movie Awards after party  (which I will have footage for in the near future).  and did a bit of partying with a side of networking. It was a fun weekend, but now I'm back and ready to get to work. Anyway, remember when the little brother C.Scholar and I were "tapping some glass?" Well here are some visuals from his internet show called "If I were Mike." This previews the pop record we were working on and also gets you aquainted with the homie a little bit more. SoOoO with that said...take some time out of your day to check it out and show some love.

His-Name-Is-G-Two

Ladies and Gentleman I think it's time for me to introduce a person who I consider to be a very close friend of mine - He is personally..MY favorite artist in the DMV area and also 1/2 of Black Sand. This young cat goes by the name of G-Two, a talented artist with a very prodigious thought process. For those who would like to hear the story: we linked up a year ago at George Mason University at a show called "For The Love of Hip Hop". Did a cypher after the show and respected each others craft. Anyway, the chemistry on the first record we did was undeniable, and I'd like to think we bring the best out of each others lyricism. So take a couple minutes out of your day to check the brotha out RIGHT HERE if you missed it on his name and I'll just leave you with a recent record he just finished that I think is one of the realist ish I've ever heard.

Tap Some Glass!

This weekend I went down to Richmond city to kick it with the lil bruh C.Scholar. We linked up and did a record for my peoples from UpNorthProductions and it was nothing but buuutteerrrr!! haha. I swear we had a case of Bieber syndrome in the beginning, but we made it work! Our goal was to make a pop record that appeals to everyone but still sprinkle our own flavor to it - and let me tell you something...I THINK WE GOT ONE! Down bottom are some visuals from the trip and a little preview of the record.

Peace and Love,

-Preezy
